1. Please tell us your name (name that’s used ONLY in internet.) and hometown.
I go by Bambi and I'm so not saying my hometown lol!
2. About how long is your history as a Lolita?
About 7 years, I got my first jsk when I was 16 and I still have it!
3. What first motivated you to do Lolita fashion?
I was the weird fashion kid in high school, getting into lolita was me pushing the boundaries of my tiny town.
4. After knowing Lolita fashion, have you had any time-gap or resistance till you actually started to be Lolita?
Not exactly, I did have a small hiatus during my first year of uni, I lived in a tiny dorm at the time.
5. Please define your Lolita style as much as possible. (eg. gothic Lolita, sweet Lolita, white Lolita…. Etc).
I'm pretty traditionally sweet, I aim for 2016's sweet (haha, so unique right?) and recently gtting into old school egl.
6. About how many Lolita friends do you have?
I would saayyy quite abit! I love my local comm so much!
7. What is the best thing about doing Lolita?
Feeling like I'm wearing a protective layer and having a built-in community/friend group!
8. Conversely, what's the worst thing?
It takes too much time to get into, but I also feel I need to have a full face and makeup and freshly styled hair...I'm not a very casual lolita lmao.
9. Which Lolita Brands do you like?
My top three are Angelic Pretty, BTSSB and Violet Fane!
10. What was the first Lolita item that you’ve owned?
Bodyline Cinderella Bunny and I still have it!
11. What is the “must have!” Lolita item?
TBH, there are a few for me, I think rocking horse shoes, parasols, and mascot purses.
12. Do you wear drawers?
I do cuz I never wear skirts/dress without under shorts even outside of egl lol.
13. Do you have any favourite Japanese music?
None, my favorite artists are Daft Punk and Linkin Park.
14. Where do you particularly visit as Lolita?
Cafes, shopping, the park, and, oddly enough, the library most often.
15. About how many times per week do you dress as Lolita?
Unfornately I'm employed so I wear it once a month?
16. Please tell us about one embarrassing episode from the time when you were just beginning Lolita.
My brain blocks out every embarrassing thing I've done, or else I'll go into cardiac arrest...Also, I can't think of one?
17. What's hairstyle and color that you think Lolita would suite the most?
I'm biased because I have curly hair, but CURLY HAIR head bows sit so nicely in curls.
18. Have you ever thought of stopping Lolita? The reason?
Nah, I have had nightmares about losing my collection.
19. Please tell us your heart's bible as a Lolita. (anything like a book, magazine, CD, idol...)
I don't think I have one...? Lalaloopsy maybe?
20. Do you own a doll? Tell us your feelings about her intensely!
I own too many, I lost count of my collection at 120, but the one that has most of my attention right now is the BJD I designed and 3D printed with my friend! This was a part of our senior thesis!
21. What kind of make-up do you wear when you wear Lolita clothes?
Relatively simple makeup, not natural though because I cover myself in glitter.
22. Have you ever secretly changed clothes in a train station bathroom on Lolita day-out?
Not a train station but my uni campus, several times.
23. Are you composed when doing Lolita all by yourself?
Yes, I was a lone-lita for many years.
24. How much do you spend in your Lolita clothes & accessories monthly?
I'm not sure about monthly since my spending is so sporadic.
25. What is the most expensive Lolita thing you've bought so far? How much was it?
My most recent purchase, BTSSB Snow Dot Fairy, I bought it new in store!
26. So far about how much has the expense been for Lolita goods?
Uhhh 3k? I think?
27. Lolita outfits really costs money. How do you raise money to cover the cost of Lolita?
In uni, it was my part time jobs now I work a 9-5 and I have very frugal habits in and out of EGL.
28. Have you ever bought from an online store? If so, please tell us its good and bad points and some advice for the future. If not, please tell us why not.
I buy from all the usual lolita websites. I honestly haven't had a problem, but I'd avoid Depop; you'll only find a deal if you're checking your phone 24/7.
29. Even if you sort of want to keep it a secret, please clandestinely tell us about a private manufacturer that is the best.
I'm a gatekeeper online ngl, if you know me irl or are a mutual, I'll tell you hehe.
30. Is there a brand and/or an item that you think, "I could never get it! But I unreasonably want it!"?
Angelic Pretty's Cirque du L'Étoile OP...It's beautiful, I love this cut more than its variants, but it would never fit me comfortably, and I think it would be to compilicated to alter :(
31. What do you think about people who only do Lolita at music-lives or cosplay?
So long as you don't treat it as a costume and disregard it as a fashion, I don't gaf.
32. From what age to what age is it acceptable to do Lolita? Do you think that there's a state in which someone must graduate from Lolita? (you can answer as ‘never graduate’)
Lolita is quite modest, I think any age could wear it, and you don't ever need to graduate.
33. Is there a Lolita fashion or behavior that you think "I don't want Lolitas to do this!" about?
I think newbies should understand that lolita comes with guidelines and that's what makes lolita lolita, like it or not.
34. Is there something you think "Lolita has to be this way!" about?
Hot take...I think lolitas should style their hair, it doesn't have to be complex, just a lil something, but also if you don't, it's okay, it's your choice, and it doesn't make you less of a lolita <3.
35. While doing Lolita, has something changed from earlier than you did Lolita?
I tried to be a little bit of every big 3 style (sweet, goth, classic) but now I'm just primarily sweet!
36. Do you go to school/work as Lolita?
When I was in uni, yes, but never work, all my jobs have had very strict dress codes.
37. Do you wear Lolita clothes as casual wear?
Rarely, I dress like a hippie art teacher outside of lolita.
38. Do you have a boyfriend (or husband)? Do you understand each other?
I do! He's very supportive and thinks I'm very cute in and out of EGL! He has a simpler style, so I feel like I have a bodyguard when I'm in lolita with him lol!
39. What do the people around you think of your doing Lolita? Do they accept it?
Yes! My whole family is very supportive, it's funny that even as an adult, my parents still show off pictures of me in lolita hehe!
40. What kind of Lolita is who has impressed you the most up until now?
Lolitas that have brand jewelry, one day I'll justify buying expensive plastic. Lyrical bunny rings, I crave you.
41. Have you ever made your own Lolita clothing or/and accessories? If so, what was the best item that you’ve made?
I have too many handmade accessories to count, but my favorites are my apple necklace and sax headdress!
42. If you have an ideal Lolita outfit or coordination, please tell us.
Oh my gosh, I dream of a spa-themed lovely bathroom coord and a slumber party day-dream bed coord!

43. Is there a motif that you think “this is a symbol of Lolita”?
Not a motif but a fabric, I feel like red tartan is just sooooo lolita. I need a red tartan piece BAD!
44. Would you want to dress your children as Lolita?
Yes!! There are some moms in my local comm and when they dress up their kids, I die from cuteness every time!
45. What's your image of the ideal Lolita?
A friendly and kind person with a cohesive wardrobe, who can tie waist ties properly and has their own lolita room. (This is just who I wanna be lmao)
